Simplement pour souligner l'importance de Redden chez les Sénators, leur fiche n'est que de 4-11-1 lorsqu'il n'est pas en uniforme.
REDDEN IS IRREPLACEABLE.
OTTAWA CITIZEN: Hugh Adami reported critics of Senators defenceman Wade Redden are calling for the club to trade him in the off-season, but points out such a move will leave a huge gap on the club's blueline. Adami notes the Senators went 4-11-1 in the time he missed this season due to injury. Redden also acknowledged he must improve his game.
Spector's Note: Redden isn't the first player to struggle in the first year of a new, big-money contract. Adami's absolutely correct when he noted that the other 29 NHL teams would line up to bid for Redden if the Senators were to shop him, and he's also correct in suggesting that Redden's departure would leave a huge hole on the Sens blueline. I doubt GM John Muckler plans to move him and feel these rumours are baseless.
