NHL All-Star Skill Competitions
The annual All-Star event kicked off today with the skill competitions. Team North America and Team World competed in six different races and the fans got to see their stars shine.
Team North America won the puck control relay with a team of Thompson Hanson, Dan DeVille and Sidney Crosby.
Alexander Ovechkin of Team World won the fastest skater competition, beating Thompson Hanson in the final.
Jason Ionson of Team North America won the hardest shot competition with a result of 88 MPH, beating Rostislav Bauer in the final.
Michael Walk of Team North America won the accuracy shooting competition, beating Teemu Turku in the final.
Stanislav Cerna of Team World won the goalie competition (pass&score), beating Alexander Rice in the final.
Team North America won the breakaway relay with a team of Michael Del Zotto, Benoit Pouliot and Michael Walk.
